What is the ECO4 Scheme?
ECO4 is a government-backed scheme designed for landlords, tenants, and property owners that aims to lower household carbon emissions and equip UK homes with more energy-saving features.
Homes that are eligible for the scheme may benefit from home insulation, a new boiler, or sustainable energy and heating systems at a reduced (or free) price. The programme, which is part of the government initiative to make all homes in the UK more energy-efficient by 2035, was launched in April 2022 and will last until the end of March 2026.

Am I eligible?
The ECO4 scheme is subject to strict eligibility requirements. The ECO4 programme is only available to homes with an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of D or lower. Additionally, you must receive one of the following:
- Working Tax Credit
- Child Benefit
- Child Tax Credit
- Jobseekers allowance
- Income Related Employment and Support Allowance
- Universal Credit
- Housing Benefit
- Income Support
- Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
- Pension Credit Saving Credit
How do I apply? APPLICATION
You cannot submit a direct application for ECO4 scheme.
All applications must be submitted by getting in touch with your energy provider. Next Gen Eco can contact your supplier on your behalf to save you the trouble.
