Emily Thompson

Emily is one of the newest additions to the Next Gen Eco team, joining as our Administration Apprentice while working towards her Level 3 Business Administration qualification. She plays a pivotal role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our operations, bringing organisation, positivity, and a strong commitment to delivering excellent service.

Emily brings three years of customer service experience, having worked at the Bill Bryson Library, followed by roles with Barclays and Marks & Spencer. These positions helped her develop strong communication skills, empathy, and a customer-first mindset that she now applies in her role at Next Gen Eco.

She describes herself as enthusiastic, empathetic, and creative—qualities that make her a valuable part of the team and a pleasure to work with. Outside of work, Emily is preparing to run the Great North Run in 2026 alongside her grandad, who proudly ran in the very first event in 1981. She also enjoys spending time with her energetic and affectionate cocker spaniel puppy, Olive.
